A POP-up cafe will arrive in Stamford Park next month to support the work of Altrincham’s Counselling and Family centre.

Overlooking the toddler park, it will be open at weekends and be operated by Greenhouse Vegetarian Café, from Oxford Road, Altrincham.

The cafe has undergone a refurbishment and been decked out with new kitchen area and toilets, and will serve a range of home cooked food.

Lara Haworth from the Counselling and Family Centre said: “Our hope and vision is to set up a more permanent venue where we can maybe put on workshops, training courses and events, where local people and artisans can hire out the room to showcase their creations."

“In addition, a second room is available which has a more informal seating area and would suit different user and support groups such as widows and carers who can meet up on a regular basis in a comfortable environment.”

The Counselling and Family Centre is a non profit organisation aimed at benefitting the Trafford community with a range of help, advice, counselling and support services.

The charity is currently appealing for volunteers to assist with the upkeep of outdoor areas, including handymen and gardeners.
