ORGANISERS of a huge community party are urging people to book their place on their place on the guest list and make the Altrincham Festival go with a swing.

There are still places left for any organisations or businesses who want to take part in the vibrant and colourful festival parade on July 4 and volunteers are needed to support the popular event.

Volunteers are needed between 8am and 3pm on the day the town has fun and let's its hair down. Anyone interested in getting hold of a festival parade entry form should call 0161 374 3296.

Places still exist for charities, businesses and car dealers who want to exhibit on the festival showground between 10.30am and 5pm. Anyone interested in doing so should call 0161 980 3223 or email tonyfishwick@ntlworld.com.

The showground, at Beechfields Recreation Ground, Grange Avenue, Timperley, will be alive with free entertainment for all the family on July 4, with acts including Reel Time Stunt Show, a birds of prey flying display, a punch and judy show and a music area showcasing Trafford's home grown talent.

The festival is serving up a feast of live entertainment, including from Showtime 2015 at Altrincham Garrick on July 5. Tickets are available from 0788 2822 814 or 0161 283 6121.

Colin Paul will be singing live at the Cresta Court Hotel on July 17 and tickets are available from 0161 980 3223 or 0161 374 3296.

The events include old favourites, like the festival pub quiz which will be held at the Railway in Hale on July 6 and 7, with the Grand Finals taking place on July 9. Teams are asked to enter early and further information is available from tonyfishwick@ntlworld.com.
