A WILMSLOW woman has helped raise £450 for an Ormskirk child who needs a hearing implant after being born deaf.

June Bailey, who is a leader with a Weight Watcher's group, raised the money by walking to pubs in Styal, Mobberley and Wilmslow. The group started out from The Bull's Head, in Handforth.

June said: "Theo was born without any hearing at all and his parents needed to raise their own funds to enable him to have an implant etc., as the operation can't be done in the UK.

"I would like to thank all the members and friends who sponsored her and her members the walk for baby Theo - Facebook TheosHope4Sound."
