TRAFFORD MPs have cast their votes in the Labour leadership race.
Wythenshawe and Sale East MP, Mike Kane, was among five MPs to vote for Wakefield MP and shadow secretary of state for international development, Mary Creagh.
Meanwhile, Stretford and Urmston MP, Kate Green, was among 41 Labour MPs to vote for shadow home secretary, Yvette Cooper.
MP for Leigh, Andy Burnham, currently leads the voting with 53 nominations.
Around a third of Labour’s MPs are yet to state their preference.
Nominees must exceed 35 votes to get on the final ballot paper.
So far, Leicester West MP, Liz Kendall (36 votes) joins Andy Burnham and Yvette Cooper in the running.
