THE Tabley Concerts 2015 season will get underway on May 12, with a debut performance by the accomplished Altèri Chamber Choir, starting at 7pm.

Although it is the first time the choir has played in the gallery at Tabley House, it has a first class reputation for musical excellence having performed all over the North West and Wales including The Royal Northern College of Music, and at cathedrals in Liverpool, Manchester, St.Asaph and Bangor as well as at Bramall Hall and Tatton Hall.

The choir will present a varied programme with a one thousand year historic range from the early plain chant to Tudor church music, choral favourites from Handel and Vivaldi, right to the present day with specially commissioned pieces.

Wine and canapés will be served in the portico and tickets cost £20.

The programme continues with concerts on June 16, by the Telemann Baroque Ensemble, a firm favourite of Tabley concert goers. While on July 14, there will be another Tabley debut from Neil Smith, one of Britain’s best-known classical guitarists.
