PEOPLE are being invited to join Trafford's Mayor Councillor Ejaz Malik and children from Holy Family Catholic Primary School in Sale, as they raise the flag of St George on April 23 at 11.30am outside Sale Town Hall.

As the ceremony immediately follows a scheduled citizenship ceremony, some of the borough's newest citizens will also join those gathered to witness the flag raising.

By marking St George's Day in this way the borough is celebrating the qualities of England's patron saint. These include freedom of expression, helping those less fortunate, tolerance of other people’s beliefs, kindness and standing up for what you believe to be right.

The flag of St George will also be flown at Altrincham and Stretford town halls.
