POP fans can travel back in time this summer to the 70s - the era of kipper ties, flared trousers and some classic tunes.

Urmston Live 2015 takes place at Abbotsfield Park in Urmston from August 1-2 and original bands already booked to appear include Showaddywaddy , The Bay City Rollers (with Les MKeown) , The Real Thing , The Rubettes (featuring Alan Williams) and Paperlace.

These chart-topping bands from yesteryear will share the stage with T-Rex , Abba and Queen tribute acts of repute along with home grown musical talent who will have the perfect opportunity to display their talents in front of audiences of up to 4,000 each day.

Gates open at 1pm each day and the concerts finish at 10pm.

Anyone interested in booking tickets should call 0844 888 9991 or visit urmstonlive.co.uk.

There will be a designated community stall area where local traders and businesses will get chance to promote their products and services.

As a major sponsor to Urmston Live 2015 Joseph Holt Plc will be providing the on site bar facilities and these will be complimented by a range of international cuisine served up in a 'food village' within the concert arena.

The Christie in Manchester will once again be the preferred charity as it was at the Beatles tribute concert at the same venue in 2013.
