Thanks to the Sale Wombles, Sale High School students have been able make a difference in the community by acting as litter pickers during their geography lessons.
The Wombles responded to a plea from the school to help them clear up their local area by lending them their litter pickers and tabards. Sale High students have been studying their physical environment and learning about the importance of recycling. They carried out litter surveys before getting stuck in and managed to collect much of the rubbish which had been blighting the hedgerows.
The school hopes to make this a regular activity for their Eco Club. Big thanks again to the Wombles who do a fantastic job keeping Sale tidy.
