St. Mary's Ward Councillors Dan Bunting, John Holden and Rob Chilton joined forces with residents on recently to carry out a clean-up.
They tackled litter across Weathercock Farm, a large park at the corner of Firs Road and Harboro Road in Sale.
Altogether, more than 10 full bin bags of rubbish, and various larger items, including wooden beams and rusty golf clubs, were collected and removed by volunteers and councillors.
Cllr Bunting said: "I never fail to be astonished by the amount of littering and dog fouling perpetrated by a very small minority of people.
"However, in the midst of Trafford Council's 'Be Responsible' campaign, it was very gratifying to see so many residents join us to give the park a really good spring-clean, and take genuine pride in our community.
"We look forward to working together to maintain and improve this valuable green space."
