TRAFFORD theatre fans are in for a real treat when Altrincham's Vue Cinema screens a live broadcast of A View From The Bridge on March 26.
This stripped down production comes from the YoungVic in London and has attracted huge critical praise, with five star reviews as far as the eye can see.
Written by Arthur Miller, for me one of the greatest playwrights of all time, it stars Mark Strong whose numerous credits include the Oscar-nominated movie The Imitation Game.
Miller confronts the American dream in this dark and passionate tale. In Brooklyn, longshoreman Eddie Carbone welcomes his Sicilian cousins to the land of freedom. But when one of them falls for his beautiful niece, they discover that freedom comes at a price. Eddie’s jealous mistrust exposes a deep, unspeakable secret – one that drives him to commit the ultimate betrayal.
A mouth watering prospect not to be missed.
