BBC Manchester’s Alison Butterworth and Phil Trow presented their live Breakfast Show from an original DeLorean gull-wing car at Altrincham Market on Tuesday.

The car featured in the popular trilogy ‘Back to the Future’ and all were welcome to donate money for Comic Relief in exchange for a photograph in the iconic vehicle.

There were plenty of people wanting their photo opportunity, and car owner Clive Glen (pictured) dressed up as ‘Doc Brown’ from the films for a more authentic experience.

Mum Sally Greenway, 39, and son Adam Greenway, six, were on their way to school when they came across the fund raising event.

It was definitely not your average school run and Adam (pictured) had his photo taken with the time machine.

They were interviewed by the presenters live on air where Adam confirmed that he was familiar with the films, even though the last film in the trilogy was made nearly 25 years ago.

Comic Relief was set up in 1985 to use comedy to raise money to change lives in Africa and the UK.
