MOTORCYCLE equipment worth several thousand pounds was stolen during a burglary in Sale.

Thieves forced open a security gate before driving up to the Ducati store on Washway Road., at about 11.50pm on February 25,

Leaving the driver inside, three men got out of a van and, using an iron grid, they smashed the glass doors, before entering and stealing leather biking equipment.

All equipment is Ducati branded.

The offenders, who were dressed in what appeared to be boiler suits, drove off towards Dane Road in a small white van, shaped like a Ford Transit Connect or Vauxhall Combo.

Detective Constable Paul Walls, said: “A considerable amount of stock, worth a lot of money, has been stolen and now the focus for the offenders will be to offload this and cash-in.

“If anyone sees these stolen items on websites or for sale in their community, please get in touch.”
