A NEW charity shop which helps vulnerable people has opened for business in Partington.

The Extra Care Charitable Trust, which is based in the shopping centre on Central Road, is hoping any funds raised there will help support elderly people with dementia.

The store was opened by Stretford and Urmston MP Kate Green, accompanied by shop manager Donna Cox and assistant manager Declan Mitchell.

Mr Mitchell said: "We are thrilled to be part of the redevelopment and join this great community in Partington.

"We have a great team in the store with amazing and passionate volunteers, we look forward to meeting our customers and serving the community with great bargains to raise funds for this great cause."

The store will be open 8.30am to 4.30pm Monday to Saturday.
