THE users of an Altrincham park will be less flustered the next time they get caught short.
It follows the official opening of the John Leigh Park unisex toilet by Trafford Council officials and the secretary of the friends group of the12 acre green space David Jolley.
The opening was performed by Cllr Michael Young and green spaces strategy manager Petula Neilson, along with balloons and bucks fizz.
It included the opportunity to win the right to christen the new toilet, which includes baby changing facilities, and was won by Ms Neilson.
Mr Jolley said: "We have been needing a new toilet in the park since the old ones were closed at least five years ago.
"The other toilets were opened in 1927, but had become unusable due to a leaking roof and have become derelict and unsafe since.
"It's nice to see a convenience back in the park and the friends group can say that with the new opening, we are truly flushed with success."
The new block is free to use and will be opened daily between 8am and 5.30pm.
