SALE based disability charity, Stockdales, is delighted to have taken delivery of their new minibus after a period of fundraising.

The organisation, which supports more than 200 children, young people and adults needed to replace one of their vehicles. They were set the task of raising £48,000 to buy the new minibus last year.

Chief Executive, Emma Morris, said: “We are thrilled to finally have the new minibus. It will be replacing an existing one which is over 13 years old and has become very unreliable and costly to Stockdales in repair bills.”

Emma went on to say, “As you can imagine, we travel thousands of miles a year taking our service users locally and all around the country so they can live life to the absolute full. The new minibus will mean people can travel in comfort and we won’t have big repairs to contend with.”

“We couldn’t have bought the vehicle without the kind help from several charitable trusts, our supporters and our staff’s fundraising efforts. On behalf of everyone at Stockdales, I’d like to say a big thank you to everyone who has contributed and made such a huge difference to our work. We really appreciate it.”
