PARENTS and coaches of Ashton on Mersey Junior Football Club have come together to donate 64 football shirts to children in Africa.
Dave Atkinson organised the well-supported shirt collection for Kitaid, a charity that takes unwanted football kits and redistributes them to children and adults in underprivileged countries.
Dave said: "We hope that we can continue to support such a great cause and supply Kitaid with redundant football shirts for many seasons to come."
Kitaid was founded in 1998 by Derrick Williams and boasts former England manager Graham Taylor as a Patron.
Over 200,000 kits have been donated across 40 countries in the past 15 years.
Anyone interested in contributing can contact Kitaid directly via kitaid.net or Dave at Ashton on david.atkinson@aecom.com
