OFENSIVE words in Trafford cost the local authority one third more to remove than non offensive words.
The finding is contained in a Freedom of Information Act request, which showed that the average cost to remove 'offensive graffiti' was £84, while the cost to remove non-offensive daubings was £56.
Helen Jones, the corporate director for economic growth, environment and infrastructure, said a specific cost to remove offensive graffiti from Denmark Street/Moss Lane bridge, had amounted to £70.
