SALE based law firm, Slater Heelis LLP, have teamed up with The Manchester Giants to launch its new sporting sponsorship programme for 2015.

The programme will see the firm invest ten thousand pounds in supporting sport at all levels across Manchester and Cheshire, with over eight individual sporting initiatives to benefit, including the Premier League basketball team.

Manchester Giants players, Connor Murtagh and Ingus Bankevic, were at the launch alongside Richard Hughes from Slater Heelis LLP, as well as youngsters from Timperley Junior Football Club.

Richard said: “We strongly believe in giving back to local clubs who are much in need of support and we are proud to see our name associated with a wide range of projects in the region, from the high flying professional world of the Manchester Giants to the grass roots, muddy Sunday mornings of junior football.”

The money invested will fund programmes including a mobile app and parents’ handbooks, as well as sports kit for a number of local teams.

CEO of Manchester Giants, John Dwan, said: “Without the continued support from businesses like Slater Heelis, many grass roots and even professional sports programmes would really struggle to survive.

“Supporting sporting clubs and facilities is a great way for companies to really put their money where their mouth is and to help keep their community engaged, active and healthy.”

Money from Slater Heelis LLP will be funding a wide range of sporting clubs and projects across Greater Manchester with money going to fund programmes including:

Manchester Giants basketball team backboards and pads, a kit for the Under 10s Timperley Junior Football Club, sponsorship of one of the tees at Sale Golf Club, as well as pitch side hoardings, sponsorship of the foundation’s newsletter and usual match day programme adverts for Altrincham Football Club.
