POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a gang of robbers threatened shop staff with a knife in Trafford.

The incident happened at around 8.10pm on Thursday, December 18 at the McColls shop in Framingham Road, Brooklands.

Four masked men entered the shop and threatened staff with a knife, before stealing cash and cigarettes and leaving the shop on foot.

No-one was injured in the robbery but staff and customers were left shocked.

All four men were wearing balaclavas. Two had black hooded tops on, one wore a green hoody and one wore a red one.

Detective Constable Sonia Johnston of Trafford Division said: “The men were aggressive and threatened staff with a knife, but thankfully no-one was hurt.

“There were also customers in the store, including a young child, who were understandably distressed by four masked men with a knife.

“If you have any information about what happened I would urge you to contact police.”
