The Sale community gathered at Churchill Retirement Living’s Brindley Lodge development in Hope Road to join Churches Together in a blessing of the town’s nativity display.

Owners at the retirement development along with members of the public watched the blessing, before enjoying carols performed by the choir of St. Joseph’s Primary School.

The nativity scene is being displayed in a retail unit window at Brindley Lodge, after Churches Together appealed for a safe place to home the display during the Christmas period.

Alison Bell, sales consultant at Brindley Lodge, said: “When we heard that Churches Together were appealing for somewhere secure to house this year’s nativity display, we were only too happy to help.

"We currently have an unoccupied retail unit at the development, with a big window that overlooks the street, which seemed like the perfect solution. Now in situ, it looks fantastic.”

The nativity scene will be on display at the Churchill Retirement Living development in Hope Road until New Year.
