CHRISTMAS came early for the four legged residents of the fire ravaged Manchester and Cheshire Dogs Home.

Trafford's Chill Factore gave the canine incumbents of the home a Christmas treat after the charity, which cares for abandoned animals, was left devastated by a massive fire in September.

The tragedy killed 53 dogs, while over 150 were rescued from the blaze.

The visitors were given a special festive celebration when St. Nick was swapped for a St. Bernard at the Manchester snow centre. Santa Paws handed out festive doggy treats leaving tails wagging!

Matt Cassel, from the Manchester and Cheshire Dogs Home said: “The donations we’ve received since the fire have been overwhelming and without them the work we do would not be possible.

"Both the staff and dogs have had a brilliant time at the grotto - we’d just like to say a huge thank you to everyone for their continued support.”

Morwenna Angove, the boss at Chill Factore, said, “The dogs seemed to really enjoy their visit to see Santa Paws in his doggy Grotto. Most of the dogs hadn't seen real snow before so it made their experience even more magical."
