ST Antony's Catholic School pupils in Uemston have remembered those who have the least at Christmas by arranging a special collection of survival boxes for Manchester's homeless.
Year Nine children have collected enough food, clothing and sanitary products to hand over 76 boxes to those living on city centre streets.
The idea was the brainchild of St. Antony's Maths teacher Joel Ladson.
Pictured are Alan Mathew, 13, from Stretford and Ellie Preston, 13, from Urmston with some of the boxes before delivery.
Alan said: “I was shocked to hear so many people are braving the cold in this weather in a place that is supposed to be as rich as Manchester."
