Man and dog rescued from mud
A MAN walking his dog in Altrincham was rescued by firefighters after they both got stuck in mud.
The incident occurred last week after the pair were walking near Altrincham Golf Club.
It is believed the animal initially strayed into the mud and when his owner got stuck trying to pull him out, the man phoned the emergency services.
Firefighters from Wythenshawe fire station hauled the pair to safety by using ropes.
