Charity begins in the supermarket - Flixton Scouts receive £300 donation fromSainsbury's
SAINSBURY'S Urmston has donated £300 to 8th Flixton Scout Group as part of its support for the community.
Colleagues including Helen Garnett charity ambassador officially handed over the donation to the scouts and beavers.
The donation will be used to help improve the toilets in the scout hut.
Funded through the Sainsbury’s community budget scheme, it was set up to help community groups.
Urmston store manager Nigel Hughes said: ‘Our store is at the heart of the local community and is important we can play our part to support it. When we heard about the scout group and their story, we just wanted to help to help out as much as we could”.
