AN Altrincham football team is set to benefit from having their own potentially life saving equipment
Broadheath Central Junior Football Club were given a defibrillator by the Association of Former Manchester United Players.
The defibrillator was handed over by ex-Manchester United boss and player Wilf McGuiness and United player Alan Wardle, to members of the under-eleven age group.
Club chairman Roger Anderson said “There have been a number of high-profile cases in recent years that have really brought home the risks of heart related incidents in football.
"Hopefully the defibrillator will never have to be used, but if it's ever needed it's good to know it may save a child’s life.”
