ONE of Altrincham's premier hotels has been accorded a prestigious industry training status

The Cresta Court Hotel, has become the first hotel in Greater Manchester, to gain recognition for its commitment to first class customer service, which was rubber stamped, after it was recognised as a WorldHost Recognised Business status.

The latest status comes, following a major refurbishment programme over the last year, and was awarded to the Cresta Court, that has trained more than 50 per cent of it front line staff at the Best Western hotel on programmes aimed at delivering excellent customer service.

The Cresta Court's general manager Paul Hindley said: “We are passionate about service standards and are especially proud to be the first hotel in Greater Manchester to achieve the WorldHost Recognised Business status."

"When our customers see the WorldHost logo displayed in our business, they’ll know that we have made a commitment to delivering an exceptional experience for them.

"Not only does this generate a positive buzz about the service we offer, but it helps to promote Altrincham as a friendly and welcoming tourist destination."

According to Mr Hindley the town of Altrincham is also working towards becoming the first place in England to become known as a WorldHost Recognised Destination.

He added: "In order to achieve the WorldHost destination status, 25 percent of Altrincham’s businesses need to train their workforce to recognised business standards; something the Cresta Court has now achieved."

The WorldHost programme is being rolled out across the UK by skills and workforce development charity, People 1st, with the goal of helping businesses gain a competitive edge and position the nation as a world-class tourist destination.
