TIMPERLEY X-Factor hopeful Hazel Jackson has vowed that 2015 will be the year she makes it big.

Hazel, 74, revealed that she unsuccessfully auditioned for this year’s show but was not able to participate in televised rounds due to ill health.

The retired Trafford housing officer shot to Youtube fame after mimicking Sharon Osbourne at auditions.

Having unsuccessfully tried out multiple times since the show’s beginnings in 2004, Jackson is adamant that audiences have not seen the last of her.

She says: “Rest assured I’m feeling marvellous again now – there is more to come from me yet.”

Raising the stakes, Jackson has promised that her statue will one day feature alongside that of Frank Sidebottom in Timperley, adding: “my head is not quite as big as his!”

For her next project Jackson may be joining forces with fellow Manchester X-Factor hopeful Angelina Robinson and trying their luck on Britain’s Got Talent.

For those who cannot wait for that, passengers on the No.11 A to Broomwood may be for a treat if they get on the bus at the right time: “I sing everywhere – all the Stagecoach bus drivers know who I am.”

She also ‘keeps her hand in’ with regular Sunday night slots at the Bricklayer’s Arms in Altrincham.

Kind-hearted Jackson is a keen charity supporter and works tirelessly for several causes across the community, recently raising £800 for the charity Make Some Noise.

She requests that anyone who wants to support the charity visits their site to give any donations they can. For more info visit www.makesomenoise.com
