DETECTIVES in Stretford are investigating after a man was stabbed.
On Wednesday October 22, at 4.30m, police were called to Gorse Park, following reports a man had been stabbed.
Officers attended and found an 18-year-old man had been stabbed in the thigh and the stomach.
He was taken to Manchester Royal Infirmary where he is being treated. His condition is not thought to be life-threatening.
Greater Manchester Police said it is believed to be an isolated incident and whilst enquiries are ongoing to trace those responsible, there are not thought to be any further risks to the wider community.
Patrols have been stepped up in the area and there will be an increased police presence whilst the investigation continues.
