DENZELL Gardens Book Festival organisers are launching two events on Saturday September 27 targeting both children and adult book lovers.
The daytime event is at 11.30 to 4.30pm at Denzell Gardens in Altrincham. The line up will include award winning children’s writers, poets and illustrators for children aged 12 and under.
Terry Caffrey, Helen Hancocks, Curtis Jobling, Kate Pankhurst and Melanie Williamson will share stories.
Local businesses such as King’s Court Cafe, confectioner’s shop The Gobstopper and festival caterers Vintage Afternoon Teas will provide food and drink.
Face painting, book-based arts and crafts, and morris dancing with Bollin Morris are also on offer.
Readers are also invited to attend an evening event with Jessie Burton, author of the bestselling novel ‘The Miniaturist’ at 7.00pm at The Bowdon Parish Centre in Bowdon.
Urmston Bookshop will be organising the book sales on the day.
