A SALE mum is through to the finals of a national competition which recognises flexible working for mums.

Kate Naylor, owner and franchisor or Bumps and Bashes, devised a specific first aid course for parents of babies and young children back in 2009.

The business has now taken on other mums who are first aid trainers and have their own Bumps & Bashes franchises, who specific courses through the North West.

Kate has been shortlisted in the 'franchisor of the year' category at the Mum and Working Awards 2014.

“Teaching parents these skills is the most enjoyable and rewarding thing I’ve ever done,” said Kate

"Having children of my own, I realise it’s the most important skill for every parent to learn.

“I’m delighted to have been shortlisted, it gives me a huge sense of achievement.

I have built this business from scratch after not finding a suitable class as a mum and we have gone from strength to strength, because of recommendations, so a big thank you goes to all our customers.”

The winner will be announced at an awards ceremony in London in October.
