SIX students from Manchester Health Academy (MHA) took to the three peaks last weekend, as part of an annual challenge organised by education charity, the Transformation Trust.

The party from MHA comprised Arron Skilling, Ashley Leather, Jordan Rigg, Kieran Mulligan, Kain Deegan and Jodie Holt.

Dominic Macguire, assistant principal at MHA said: “The impact of the challenge both physically and mentally is unmeasurable and one that will live with the six students for a lifetime. The opportunity to socialise with not only other young people but adults from the world of work and industry has given them a real focus for the future in terms of their own aspirations and careers. All the young people from MHA sixth form are from tough inner city backgrounds, who would never of had this opportunity had it not been for the Transformation Trust.”

The Three Peaks Challenge consists of climbing Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Snowdon.
