STUDENTS unsure of their next step are being urged to contact Trafford College - to find out about the courses it has to offer.

The college boasts two facilities - its Altrincham campus and the Centre for Science and Technology - and students are asked to make enquiries whatever their results.

It's never too late to change course and take a different career path, as 22-year-old Charlotte Montgomery knows only too well.

After signing up to do a law degree she decided that a career in the legal world wasn't for her and decided to enrol on a beauty therapy course after speaking to tutors at Trafford College.

Charlotte soon realised that she had finally discovered her true vocation in life. As part of her course she has competed in a number of skills competitions and she has also just returned from Budapest where she took part in a College excursion, giving her a rare insight into Eastern European spa therapies and techniques.

She is looking forward to starting her Foundation degree in Spa Management, taking her a step closer to her ultimate goal of starting her own business, or working as a Spa manager for a luxury resort.

Charlotte, who works at Mere Golf Resort and Spa, said:, “I can’t wait to get started on my next challenge. At first I considered university, but I like to learn close to home. I can now continue progressing with a degree level programme whilst learning in fantastic facilities that have everything you need.

“I would suggest to anybody, no matter how old you are, that it is never too late to change your mind. You should try to do something that you are passionate about and that you would like to do for the rest of your working life."
