SALE resident, Ruth Rae, is a dedicated supporter Sale based disability charity Stockdales. She has been involved in fundraising for the organisation for more than 12 years. Over the last year, The 76-year-old has juar raised - £4,000 which takes her overall fundraising total to £30,000.
Ruth organises and runs regular bric-a-brac and car boot sales to raise valuable funds for Stockdales. She gets her stock from house clearances and kind donations from friends and family.
Ruth said: “When I first started doing this, I was raising around a couple of hundred pounds each year. It’s really taken off and in the last few years this has reached several thousand each time!”
Natalie James, fundraising manager said: “Our special thanks goes to Ruth for her hard work and inspirational fundraising achievements over the last 12 years."
