A SALE school has received £200 and a garden makeover from a community project run by Salford Foundation.
Manor High, a school for students with special needs, was chosen by the foundation, one of whose aims is to support children in school engagement and attainment, putting the curriculum in a real-world context.
Project workers also pitched for and won £250 in a Dragon’s Den style competition at Media City to revamp the school’s garden and encourage children studying horticulture.
Project leader Beth Holmes, 19, said: “The school really loved the improved garden.”
The £200 will go towards school football kits.
