TRAFFORD Music Service's infant music and play scheme has moved to a new location.

The scheme aims to give youngsters the chance to learn about musical ideas and concepts such as rhythm, meter and dynamics, through movement, music and song.

The sessions also include games, singing and improvising activities.

Executive member for Children's Services, Cllr Mike Cornes, said: "These are exciting times for the service we have lots of amazing events for all ages as well as a new building in Sale.

"Our first ever parent and baby and toddler music sessions launched this summer and are proving very popular with both parents and toddlers alike."

The widely used service, which has moved from Acre Hall Primary School to a new building at the Claremont Centre, in Sale, offers an enhanced provision every weekday night and weekends.

As part of the ongoing changes to strengthen and widen the service, two new community choirs for adults will be launched next month and plans are in place for a Ukulele orchestra and a Nasheed all female choir.
