TRAFFORD residents are being urged to have their say on the ‘Healthier Together’ consultation, which closes on September 30.
Healthier Together is a review of health and social care and is part of a wider public service reform, seeking to provide the best care for Greater Manchester residents and reshape health services across the borough.
Trafford hospitals will not be affected by the review, as Trafford General's A&E department has already been reorganised into an Urgent Care Centre in November 2013, but Trafford people could be still affected if they ever need specialist care at one of the surrounding hospitals.
Dr Nigel Guest, Chief Clinical Officer at Trafford CCG, said: “Although the changes have already taken place in Trafford, we would encourage Trafford people to have their say on the changes that could affect them as a patient at some of the other hospitals across Greater Manchester.”
A first public meeting has taken place in Stretford and a second one is taking place on September 24, 6-8pm, at the Waterside Arts Centre in Sale.
