AN 18-year-old woman was sexually assaulted in Stretford.
The incident took place on July 14, at a11.30pm, as the teenager was walking on Barton Dock Road, near to the BP petrol station.
She noticed a man walk past her, who then turned to follow her, before he grabbing both of her arms.
The offender sexually assaulted her before she managed to break free.
He hit her on the top of the head but she managed to run off.
The attacker then made off towards the Trafford Centre.
The man is described as white, in his late teens/early 20s, 5ft 7in tall, of slim build, wore a black hooded top, black tracksuit bottoms and was carrying a bag over his shoulders, possibly with a JD sports logo.
Det Con Andrew Warren said: “This was a particularly violent assault with the offender making direct threats to his victim.
"She has been left traumatised by what happened and we are determined to catch the man responsible.
“It is believed the offender got onto a yellow BMX bike before cycling off following the attack and I would appeal to anyone who witnessed the incident to contact police as soon as possible.”
Anyone with information is asked to phone police on 0161 856 7655 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
