AN Altrincham volunteer fundraiser is organising Ride For Life, a 12 hour indoor cycling challenge, in a bid to raise money for Cancer Research UK.

Anne Hodge, 43, fitness instructor, of Queens Road, Hale, is holding the event at Total Fitness Altrincham from 8am to 8pm on August 9.

There will be around 25 individuals and five relay teams taking part in the 12 hour indoor cycling event. Anne and the Total Fitness team will teach sessions alongside several other instructors.

Total Fitness is opening its doors to members and non members alike to take part, use the facilities and cheer on the riders.

Anne said: ‘I decided to hold the event because like many others, I have witnessed family members suffering from the disease and being helped and beating the disease due to the work of Cancer Research UK."
