JUDGES took to the streets of Altrincham to check out some of the summer planting which might give the town added vibrancy
The town has entered into the North West in Bloom 2014, and its chairman Bill Blackledge took a tour of the main points of interest to see just what has been added to create a touch of colour this year that might warrant a prize.
Mr Blackledge was accompanied by Royal Horticultural Society expert John Bilsborough and by town organisers keen to give the pair the best view of Altrincham's efforts.
The near five hour tour took in town landmarks including the Cresta Court Hotel, the Old Roebuck pub, Market Place, Altrincham Town Hall, Altrincham Methodist Church, Altrincham General Hospital and Stamford Park, and along streets, which included Market Street, Regent Road, George Street, Denmark Street and Woodlands Road.
The results will be known later this summer.
