SALE disability charity, Stockdales, has recently held its’ annual golf day at Sale Golf Club. Over 16 teams of 4 golfers took to the course to compete against each other. Players, who included Max George from pop group The Wanted and comedian Stan Boardman, enjoyed a round of golf followed by a presentation evening, auction and raffle.

Natalie James, fundraising manager at Stockdales said, “We raised £17,000 on the evening, which far exceeded our expectations. One of the players then went on to donate a further £10,000 after seeing our film and what we do, which was beyond generous! This is an amazing result for us and will really help us with our minibus appeal.”

“Our thanks goes to everyone who helped with the organisation of the event, including golf pro, Mike Stewart, and the catering team at Sale Golf Club. Special thanks also goes to our sponsors J Davidson Scrap Metal Processors and to everyone who donated raffle and auction prizes. We simply would not have been able to raise this fantastic amount without their kind help. From the bottom of our hearts, we really appreciate it.”
