The water coming out of your tap is almost perfect

Water supplier United Utilities has achieved 99.9 per cent compliance with the demanding EU quality targets, as revealed by UU’s year-end figures.

The same report also revealed that the water utility company cut its carbon footprint by 11 per cent in the 12 months ending in March this year.

This news means that the Warrington-based water supplier has reduced it carbon emissions by 23 per cent since 2005-2006.

The north west firm holds a licence to provide services to seven million people and businesses.
