PEOPLE, who have been prescribed an Adrenaline Auto-Injector, must carry two AAI with them at all times.

The new guidance has been issued by the Healthcare Products Regulatory Agency for the emergency treatment for life threatening allergic reactions and is supported by the Anaphylaxis Campaign.

The Agency urges people to call an ambulance and state “anaphylaxis” after every use of an adrenaline auto-injector even if the symptoms are improving.

The affected individual should lie down with their legs raised.

If the person does not start to feel better, the second auto-injector should be used five to 15 minutes after the first one.
