TWO players who currently play their hockey with Brooklands MU HC recently returned from Rotterdam they have represented the England Over 40’s in the Masters World Cup.

Brad King smd Mark Fullerton have both returned with a bronze medal.

Playing in a group with Wales, Ghana & The Netherlands, they progressed quite comfortably with two wins and a draw with the hosts Holland.

In the quarter finals they drew South Africa, and they proceeded to win that easily with a 5-0 with the first 2 goals scored by Brad King.

Australia were their opponents in the semi-finals and found thw Aussies tough opponents, losing by a narrow 4-3 margin.

They played Germany in the 3rd/4th place play off and putting the semi-final defeat behind them they went on to win 3-2.

Brad said: “What an amazing feeling, one to be playing for England and two to actually bring home a Medal in a World Cup.”

They have also both been selected to play for England Over 40's in Belfast in August for the Home Nations where they are hoping to remain top of the tree for another year
