SALE based disability charity Stockdales has received a donation of more than £6,000 from a Cheshire based company. Lehvoss.

This was a third of £20,000.00 from its’ profits which was split equally between three charities The company got to know about Stockdales through itechnical sales executive, Phil Tideswell. Phil’s daughter Alex has worked at Stockdales for a number of year as a support worker in its’ residential services for people with severe disabilities.

Phil nominated Stockdales to be a contender for one of the donations. He took the charity’s 60th History brochure for back for his colleagues to read and Stockdales won the vote of many the company’s employees.

Emma Morris, chief executive at Stockdales said: “This is a very generous donation received from Lehvoss. We cannot thank them enough for supporting us. Special thanks also goes to Phil for thinking of Stockdales and putting us forward and also to the people who voted for us. It means so much to us to have this kind support. We’re very grateful.”

The charity intends to spend the donation on essential specialist equipment including some rise and fall tables, lifting equipment and some refurbishment work at one of its’ properties.
