THE winner of the BBC’s Great British Bake Off will be in Altrincham this weekend to take part in a ‘blooming great tea party’.

Francis Quinn will be present at Granite Transformations’ fundraising event on June 28.

The tea party will be held at the Altrincham kitchen company’s Marsden Road showroom in aid of Marie Curie Cancer Care.

Derek Delaney, at Granite Transformations, said: “We’re thrilled to be hosting our own ‘blooming great tea party’ and we intend to raise as much money as possible to help Marie Curie nurses provide care for terminal cancer sufferers, either in their own homes or at one of the charity’s hospices.

“Money raised at local level can be directly channelled to a local hospice so this a superb community based project that everyone can make a positive contribution to.”

Call Granite Transformations on 01204 526652 for more information, or simply turn up on the day.
