THERE are only a few days left for Trafford residents to apply for a voluntary sector grant worth up to £4,000.

The deadline for applications is Monday, June 9 at 1pm.

To be eligible to receive money, applicants must show that their project will benefit the local community.

Thrive Trafford is waiting to hear about people’s innovative projects from around the borough and each area has designated themes.

Urmston and Partington residents should focus on schemes to do with health, employment, education and our access to the environment.

Old Trafford and Stretford residents have been given child obesity and healthy eating.

South Trafford’s themes are employment, healthy living, intergenerational activities and the isolation of older people.

A total of £30,000 is available and successful applicants will proceed to July’s participatory budgeting session, where local residents will choose the best projects.
