TRAFFORD community groups are being urged to bid for a share of a £10,000 cash pot launched today to celebrate Contour Homes’ 10th anniversary year.

Contour Homes supports a host of projects already, including work clubs to help people to find jobs, schemes to help residents grow their own fruit and veg, and activities for young people.

The aim of this ‘Cash for Communities’ project is to help even more residents to run projects that make their neighbourhoods better places to live.

Sums of between £500 and £2,000 will be awarded to groups that support the suitable themes: jobs and enterprise; community spaces, health, or sports projects; activities for young people; helping people to get online and make their money go further.

The first deadline for applications is July 31st. More information and application forms are available at www.contourhomes.co.uk or by emailing Community Investment Officer Steph Hodgson at Stephanie.hodgson@contourhomes.co.uk.
