A YOUTH theatre set up by a Sale High School pupil to bridge the generation gap is about to perform a classic fairytale.

Only Youth Productions, formed by 15-year-old Nick Brown, will stage Hansel And Gretel - The Musical.

Nick said one aim of the project was to bring the community together.

He added: “We wanted to use our talents to help People who may not have had the opportunity to take part in or view theatre.”

The show will be performed by a cast of six and there’s a five strong production team, all between the ages of eight and 15.

Nick, from Farrier Close, Sale, said the theatre company has been funded by o2's Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) project Think Big.

He added: “They believed our project showed their values.”
