BROWNIES and rainbows, of Bowdon, gathered in the Red House Farm in Dunham Massey to celebrate the Big Brownie Birthday with learning and fun activities throughout the day.

The one hundred girls were told what brownies did in the past and learned about nature and the bees in the environment. They made bio pots and filled them with wild flower seed mixes to take home.

Fitness workouts with personal trainer Andrew Noutch took place on the day.

A climbing wall, inflatable slide and a barrel train were among the attactions in the Red House.

Jo Kinney, District Commissioner for the Bowdon Brownies, said: “It was a fabulous day with the girls from the district enjoying learning and having great fun.”

Jonny Hewitt, director of Fun and Chaos at Red House, said: “I am delighted that we were chosen to host the Big Brownie Birthday and the sun shone on a great day.”
