BUSINESSES from Trafford and across Greater Manchester came together at Aspire Restaurant Bar in Altrincham to celebrate Trafford College’s annual Business Training Awards.

The College’s annual awards celebrate the exceptional organisations that go the extra mile to develop the skills of their workforce.

It works with many hundreds of businesses across a range of sectors and has established an impressive portfolio with some of the region’s most significant employers.

The celebration saw a total of 45 awards presented to organisations and individuals who have shown great commitment and dedication to training and development over the past year. A broad cross-section of industries was represented ranging from sport to hospitality Sir Bill Moorcroft, Trafford College Principal said: “Trafford College recognises the importance of investing in the future of local business, and we are proud to celebrate the exceptional organisations that go the extra mile to invest in workforce development. Meeting the needs of local businesses is a key part of the College’s work.”

One of the organisations celebrating on the night was The Hair Bank Salon which scooped two prizes in the categories of Commitment to Training and Apprentice of the Year.

Salon owner, Laura Kulik, said of her award, “The whole team is absolutely thrilled to be recognised in this way. Trafford College has supported us consistently in strengthening our workforce and developing our apprentices.”
